Fiction and Translation: A Case Study of Murakami’s Translations
The course will be taught by Japanese translator and Pushcart nominated poet Miho Kinnas. In this course, she examines translations of renowned author and translator Murakami Haruki – both his works in translation into English and his translations of English-language works into Japanese. Miho examines the works in both languages, side by side, and in the process, extracts important observations on the work of translating fiction.
Master Class in Writing Historical Fiction
This Master Class will be led by Chinese fiction writer Zhang Ling, author of A Single Swallow.
